The year is 2030.
You have just got home. You walk into the living room, switch on the light, and the room floods with illumination. You look towards the lampshade – you smile knowing you have switched to clean and affordable energy. Tiny glass beads reflect the light from the inner surface of the lampshade, providing more light with less energy.
The concept of this project is to allow woven textiles in the interior to become an integral part of interacting with the home, and to aid in providing more light by using yarns that reflect light from the surface. I have created a collection for interior lighting aimed to be accessible to the modern home of 2030.
